Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Director to help them achieve significant growth targets over the next five years.

About The Company:

Our client is a seasoned manufacturer and supplier specialising in mechanical components. With a legacy spanning over 80 years, they are a trusted name in the industry, renowned for their product innovation and dedication to customer service. They have a significant presence in the defence sector in addition to serving clients across the wider industrial landscape. Having recently secured investment, they are looking to double their current £20M turnover within the next five years. To support these ambitious growth plans they are actively seeking a skilled Commercial Director to lead their commercial team and spearhead opportunities for growth.

Commercial Director – The Role:

Your primary responsibilities involve overseeing the company’s commercial operations to enhance revenue, attain steady growth, and maximise profitability. This entails identifying fresh opportunities through adjustments in pricing and innovative deal structures. In addition, you’ll hold a key position within the leadership team, actively contributing to the development of wider business strategies to drive the organisation forward.

Commercial Director – Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities
• Implement new customer acquisition strategies
• Achieve sales targets and put robust plans in place to offset any failure to hit targets
• Lead and manage the commercial team including regular coaching and addressing any issues

Commercial Director – You:

• 5 to 10 year’s experience in a leadership position within a manufacturing business
• Experience leading and developing a commercial team
• Display strategic thinking abilities and possess a keen sense of commercial acumen
• Have a proactive & motivated demeanour with a strong sense of enthusiasm
